Where is the cheapest Propecia or maybe a generic? I started taking Propecia about 6 years ago and was paying about $165 for 90 pills. A couple days ago I paid $203 for 90 pills at Walmart. Does anyone know of a cheaper place to get this pill or perhaps if there is a generic of Propecia? Thanks a lot

leecuhuinja l replied: "Generic Propecia (finasteride) is ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same sides(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand preopecia. Have tried lots of herbal crap before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely. I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - It is under $1 per pill as I buy the 90 pills. (89$ for 90)"

Where is the cheapest place to buy Propecia? My insurance will not cover this :(. Just wondering where everyone else has found it to be the most affordable and approximately what you pay. Thanks!

Whats the cheapest pharmacy to get Propecia? Please include the price if you have it.? If it matters, this purchase could be in DC, Maryland, or Virginia. Please do not reference internet websites.

bob s replied: "you said no internet but the one I use has a Generic for 67 cents a pill, just in case you change your mind"

is there a doctor in San Diego that makes it easy and cheap to get propecia? it just seems crazy every doctor wants a $120 office visit only to wirte you a 3 or 6 month prescription. is there any doctor with reasonable cost of office visits and the prescription length a year?

Jeffari-al-Texani replied: "just buy it online..."

does anyone know a cheaper alternative to propecia? If not, where can I purchase propecia the cheapest?

ianr1984 replied: "Well, if you want to fork up a couple thousand and never have to buy it again, I'd suggest hair transplants. As for finding propecia cheaper, there is none cheaper than the internet."

Chgo1978 replied: "Yes, there is an alternative. You can get a prescription to Finasteride - it is exactly what Propecia is made from. Propecia only comes in 1mg tablets - while Finasteride only comes in 5mg tablets. My dermatologist prescribed me the Finasteride - and the pharmacy cut each tablet into 4 quarters -- Therefore, taking one 1/4 tablet of Finasteride daily. It is actually equivalent to about 1.2mg of Propecia a day. Propecia will cost you (with insurance) around $60 for 1 month supply (30 days). Finasteride (with insurance) will only cost you your co-pay, $10-$20. It is a completely legitimate and safe -- It's exactly what Propecia is made from."

wheres the cheapest place to by propecia? or generic propecia if its real.? no online scam sites please.

cdsfhc2002 replied: "Well, there is no real generic propecia, since your insurance(if you have any) wont pay for propecia, have your doctor write you a prescription for 8 proscar/month(it does have a generic) for you to take 1/4 tablet every day, this will give you 1.25mg of finasteride, which is close enough to the 1mg that is in propecia and it is much more affordable that way, then just get it from your local pharmacy"

Just started Propecia. How long before you noticed a difference? Is there a cheaper version? I heard Canada is making a generic version, any truth to this?

Little Angel replied: "Cheapest site I found even better than Canada. check it out "

Proscar over Propecia? I'm considering a doctor's visit to get an anti-DHT drug to combat my hair loss. Propecia could work for me, but I'm looking for something cheaper. Propecia (1-mg finasteride) costs roughly $60 for a month's supply of pills whereas Proscar (5-mg finasteride) costs around $100 or more. If I get Proscar and use a pill splitter to divide the pills into fours, I could cut the cost by stretching a month's supply to 4 months and receive about the same daily dose as Propecia. $100 for 4 months cuts the cost in half. What I'd like to know is, will my doctor prescribe it to me if I ask for it? Can I just tell him that I'll use a pill-splitter and don't intend to take a full 5mg a day? Can I let him know that I'm trying to save money? Will he still insist I take Propecia?
